Job Description

  • To manage and support program delivery of ITO supported projects across the Retail Banking ("RB") portfolio.
  • Ensure HK RB change roadmap and delivery are clearly communicated and commercialized effectively for HK.
  • To ensure Group and regulatory standards for project management and implementation are properly complied with and all the projects risks and issues are escalated and managed effectively


  • Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the Retail change roadmap for HK, ensuring alignment between Group and Country stakeholders including regional led initiatives (eg Retail Digital, CCPL, Data Analytics)
  • Support delivery of Global projects ensuring delivered in accordance with internal and external regulatory standards, specifically include the following:
  • Proper project planning, execution and change management.
  • Project risks and issues are proactively escalated and managed
  • Manages local ITO project team members ensuring they deliver quality work and meet the expectations of the project/ program (eg local BRD, UAT and Change Management deliverables)Country Champion for other Retail projects impacting HK including:
  • Working with Global Programme Manager in planning and execution
  • Identifying, raising and resolving risks as they relate to HK
  • Ensuring 'One Bank' approach to support successful implementation of those projects
  • Manages local project team members ensuring they deliver quality work and meet the expectations of the project/ program (eg local BRD, UAT and Change Management deliverables)


  • Qualifications and Skills

    • Proven track record in complex project/ program management, process management and re-engineering, successfully delivering multiple projects to schedule, budget and to critical quality metrics spanning both regulatory and revenue growth initiatives.
    • Relevant business / function experience. Experience in Financial Services Industry and related regulatory environment a distinct advantage.
    • Flexibility and dedication to work across the organization to support HK implementation and commercialization of all CIB global initiatives.
    • Knowledge of Retail products and processes including digitalization a distinct advantage
    • Ability to work in a matrix organization, leveraging resources across the organization (HK and globally) to complete deliverables and maintain effective working relationship
    • Sound judgment to balance risks, operating efficiency and customer experience
    • Excellent written and oral communicator both with senior stakeholders, peers and junior colleagues with a positive, can do attitude.
    • Must be able to hit the ground running with excellent networking and collaborative skills to mange/ work with diverse teams across the business.
    • Willingness to positively challenge the status quo and play a leadership role in team development and enhancement.
    • A project management qualification is desirable (PMP, PRINCE2), and you'll have a strong understanding of process improvement frameworks (Lean SixSigma, ADKAR, BPMS)
