As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide crucial first-line support for any production issues raised by the firm's buy-side clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Function as a 1st level technical contact for the firm's clients - field, analyse and resolve product specific issues
  • Liaise with broker-dealers and exchanges on behalf of the firm's clients, resolving trade issues through FIX Protocol
  • Reactively identify incidents, and manage the process through to resolution - escalate where necessary
  • Proactively monitor business-critical systems to identify recurrent issues + problem areas
  • Carry out tests in production, UAT and development scenarios

Key skills:

  • Bachelors qualification in Computer Science, or any I.T. related field
  • 3+ years recent application support experience
  • Hands-on FIX protocol troubleshooting experience
  • Background supporting e-trading platforms (OMS/EMS)
  • Experience with Linux, Windows or Solaris OS
  • Strong SQL and Database skills
  • Scripting ability (Shell, Batch, Perl) would be a plus
  • Basic networking knowledge would be a plus
