J.P. Morgan Securities Services is a premier securitiesservicing provider that helps institutional investors, alternative assetmanagers, broker dealers and equity issuers optimize efficiency, mitigate riskand enhance revenue. Financial Reporting is part of Securities ServicesOperations and provides statutory financial statements services, taxable incomedistribution services and tax return and BAS services for clients. Clientsinclude large trust fund managers and superannuation funds based in Australiaas well as other locations.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Support the Head of FinancialReporting and Tax in overseeing the department with a number of direct reportsand acting as the subject matter expert for accounting and tax related queries
  • Deliver on the strategic goals ofthe department in relation to technology, operating model and new productdevelopment
  • Timely and accurate delivery offinancial and tax related reporting on a frequency determined by the servicelevel agreement with the clients in their portfolio
  • Build and maintain effectivepartnerships with local operations, our offshore center of excellence, clientservices and ancillary team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operationsissues through research and engagement with the relevant teams
  • Partner with global stakeholdersacross operations and product to innovate and enhance a scalable globaloperations model for our clients
  • Maintain a strong focus on reducingoperational risk whilst continuing to provide a strong product offering

To besuccessful you will need:

  • Tertiary qualified in Accounting ora related discipline with CA / CPA qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years' experience infinancial accounting/tax within financial and/or professional services sectorplus 3 years in a senior management role
  • Solid experience in statutoryreporting and applications of accounting standards in accordance with AASB& IFRS
  • Solid experience in Australian tax,specifically in relation to trust income distributions and trust tax returns
  • Strong managerial backgroundincluding previous experience of managing a large team as well as being atrusted client partner and advocate, ensuring strong strategic alignment andopen communication
  • Effective planning and timemanagement skills, with demonstrated initiative and proactive approach tomanaging dynamic workload and periodic overtime
