As a Business Development Specialist, you will work at the commercial heart of our European credit insurance group. You identify and manage our new customer relationships in close consultation with our marketing, and communications teams and you are our representative to external interest groups.
You handle incoming requests, identify new prospects, keep an active dialogue with the prospect and partner base in order to develop new client relationships and to enlarge the client portfolio.
You will analyse the needs of prospects and clients to identify possible solutions offered by Credendo ECA and Credendo Group.
You will represent the company, which includes giving presentations to Belgian and international organisations, interest groups, business federations, banks, brokers and individual companies, in order to reach the target audience and expand the client base. At times you will do so internationally on occasions like economic missions or conferences.
You will ensure the follow-up and support for new clients at the start of their cooperation with Credendo so as to offer them continuity and develop a sustainable partnership.
You will actively work with the CRM tool to organise and report your activities, to enrich the available client and prospect data and to drive development of the tool to best suit the commercial needs.
You are able to identify market needs and opportunities and cooperate with the marketing officer for the development of our products, services and processes.
You will cooperate with the communication team to ensure optimal effectiveness of the client events and communication campaigns that are organised.
You have a master’s degree in economics, finance or law.
You are a native Dutch speaker and you show a good oral and written proficiency in French and English.
You understand the basics of financial and transaction analysis.
You have excellent communication and presentation skills.
You can conduct negotiations and are solution-oriented.
You are energised by client service and focus, and you have the right commercial spirit.

You show flexibility, engagement and a strong work ethic.
You can easily establish and deepen contacts to build trusted relationships.
You have experience within the credit insurance business or other financial services.
You have knowledge of bank financing to companies, a minimum knowledge of export finance. Having specific knowledge of the Credendo products, experience in international sales operations or a network in the Belgian export community is a plus.
