Tasks

• Collect business requirements through various requirements techniques
• Translate them into an efficient Data solution by designing data flows and data models
• Design, develop and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes and data integration workflows
• Build and manage data warehouses, data lakes and other storage solutions to store and organize large volumes of data
• Implement data governance processes, ensuring data quality, integrity, accuracy, consistency and completeness as well as security across the data infrastructure
• Optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, including monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues
• Document data engineering processes, data flows and system architectures to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainable systems

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as S tatistics, Mathematics or Engineering
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and strong command of SQL for data querying and manipulation
• Experience with data integration tools, ETL/ELT frameworks, and workflow orchestration systems (e.g., Apache Airflow, Apache NiFi)
• Solid understanding or relevant experience in requirement gathering and analysis, solution design and Data modeling, capturing, feeding, enhancing, reporting
• Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
• Knowledge of at least one of the data visualization techniques and tooling, (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, SAS, ...)
• Excellent English as well as Dutch and / or French communication skills, written and verbal
