Big Data & AI are booming and therefore, Accenture is currently looking for an outstanding Data Science Analyst to complete the team. In that context, Accenture has put together a leading-edge Data Science team in Brussels, fully integrated into a global group of analytics practitioners and innovation centres worldwide. This network, composed of data scientists, statisticians and PhDs working together with industry and domain experts, helps our clients in Belgium and globally move from issue to outcome by leveraging the power of the data.
As a Data Science Analyst, you will be involved in the following key tasks:
Data Modelling & Analyses
•Execute the full data mining steps from data preparation, modelling & interpretation
•Leverage Accenture's international network and knowledge capital for Analytics by using proven assets and methodologies
•Propose new problem-solving solutions and methodologies
•Apply the latest algorithms and techniques such as deep learning and other machine learning techniques to client's context
Create client value through Business Insight generation - Turning insights to action
•Engage in the delivery of analytics assignments for Accenture clients involving, amongst others: segmentation, churn prediction, cross & up sell, forecasting, predictive asset maintenance, optimization
•Contribute and facilitate workshops/interviews bridging the gap between data analytics and business outcomes
•Provide strategic and tactical advice to clients by translating analytical solutions into out-of-the-box execution recommendations addressing business objectives and impacting bottom line results
•Participate in business development work efforts
•Build case for analytics through data analysis and business case (quantify likely benefits)
•Master's degree in a quantitative field (Econometrics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Quantitative Marketing) with a specific emphasis on statistics/(big) data mining/data science etc.
•0 to 2 years of hands on experience in analysing data through statistical modelling and machine learning to tackle business questions.
•Excellent communication and presentation skills: able to explain Analytics in non-technical terms to business users (C-level, line managers, etc.)
•You manage some of the main statistical software packages (R, SAS, SPSS, etc.), SQL and programming languages (Python, R, C, VBA, etc.), machine learning techniques (Neural Networks, Random Forest, etc. ), machine learning solutions (Google Tensorflow, IBM Watson) and visualization (Tableau, QlikView, SAS VA, D3, etc.)
•Sharp analytical capabilities combined with the ability to develop and transform concepts into pragmatic and innovative solutions
•Effective communication in Dutch/French and English
•Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Pig, Hive, Aster, Spark, etc.
•Knowledge of cloud-based solutions such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.
•Cross-industry experience appreciated
•Previous consulting experience is considered a plus
•Showing extra-curricular experiences in the area of analytics and a clear interest in the digital world.
