Our department

The Accenture Management Consultant Sourcing & Procurement in Resources/Utilities provides A to Z sourcing & procurement solutions to customers. Accenture is working with its customers in order to help position them for high performance through consulting, outsourcing, technology solutions and software platforms solutions. We provide our clients with solutions that address their products, strategies, people, processes and operating infrastructures. We help many leaders of industry to industrialize their operations, which enables them to reduce their costs, improve customer service, grow revenue, and attain real differentiation.

Your role

With their sourcing & procurement expertise, and preferably natural resources and/or chemicals industry/ business experience, our management consultants are responsible for designing, building and delivering high value solutions that help our clients move forward, ranging from very strategic projects (e.g. Procurement operating model, Procurement Vision & Strategy definition) to more tactical projects (Procurement process optimization, Operating model implementation, Strategic Sourcing,…)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Consulting and partnering with clients on sourcing and procurement topics in our targeted industries in order to help them develop high performance solutions to advance their industry position
  • Supporting identification of (strategic/ operational) S&P issues and performance gaps
  • Supporting identification and development of Procurement end-to-end process transformation opportunities and strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Contributing to important projects on a global level
  • Contributing to the design and implementation of new Procurement operating models and processes
  • Being the link between Procurement Strategy and the Procurement Technology, Outsourcing and Digital practices within Accenture
  • Applying skills in project and program management while exhibiting leadership in process re-engineering and implementation of process, technology, strategy, and organizational change
  • Applying and extending a working knowledge of the specific industry/sector and/or the functional areas they serve


Basic qualifications
Qualifications
  • A university degree from a leading business school;
  • 2 to 6 years of relevant business experience in sourcing and procurement, with a strong focus on the chemicals, natural resources or utilities industry/sector and their respective business processes;
  • Deep quantitative and analytical skills;
  • Structured thinking with strong problem solving capability and commercial spirit;
  • Result oriented team player with eagerness to grow and to learn;
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills, team building and relationship building skills;
  • Strong relationship building skills, both with the team and clients;
  • Effective communication in Dutch, French and English
  • Flexibility to work abroad;
