Specialist Pricing Expert
    Answers to an Expert Lead who reports to the Head ofCenter of Expertise

  2. AIM
    As a Pricing Expert, you are responsible for the marginon credit and savings products.
    Depending on your role within the team, you focus on aspecific product category (e.g. mortgages and consumer loans) or you handle thedevelopment and availability of the pricing tools that the Front & PricingDesk use to fix the prices of products and manage exceptions.
    In all cases, you work closely with the bank's otherdevelopers of tools, Product Pricing Experts, all segments and IT department.
  3. Responsibilities
  • Margin management:

    1. understands, in depth, all products and all procedures(front to back)
    2. understands the different risks for each product (riskassociated with interest rate, liquidity risk, etc.) and optimises the cost offinancing the reduction of these risks
    3. understands the different factors contributing to thecustomer's rate (cost, customer, competition, channel, etc.) coordinates thetranslation of these factors into pricing models or policies, launching them onthe market to test and validate them

  • Stakeholder management:

    1. makes the connection between sales activities and marketrisk management
    2. understands the information relating to sales activitiesand competitive dynamics
    3. understands the models for covering market riskmanagement and continually seeking improvement
    4. monitors and interprets performance
  • Impact:

    1. is aware of the impact of loan products on our liquidity,our results and the constraints of the balance sheet
    2. seeks to optimise the balance sheet and the profit andloss account within the limits imposed by law
    3. is responsible for expressing the impact of new projects,changes in cover methods, pricing or legislation on income related to loanproducts
  • Projects:

    1. participates in projects relating to margins and pricepolicies, including in the context of Unite
  • For tools under the responsibilities of the PricingExpert:

    1. lists the requirements in collaboration with thestakeholders and participates in prioritisation of requirements in a road map
    2. designs, develops and tests the pricing tools (used bythe Front and Pricing Desk Officers)
    3. updates the tools and is responsible for user support(guaranteeing availability)
    4. ensures that all procedures associated with pricing arein line with the pricing rules and tools

  • Sevenyears' relevant experience
  • In-depthknowledge of analysis
  • In-depthknowledge of pricing and pricing tools

  • Goodin-depth knowledge of the loan procedure and/or market risk management
  • Knowledgeof the organisation, services offered and activities of the variousdepartments.
