Technical Advisor Analytics (m/f)

The opportunity

QBE Re has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Advisor to join the Analytics team in Brussels.

Your new role

• Maintain and develop pricing tools
• Review rating methods to ensure their robustness and implement new actuarial methods that answer the needs of the business
• Apply reinsurance pricing techniques and analyse contracts to deliver profitable business growth
• Support the development and provision of underwriting statistics and portfolio studies to Actuarial/Finance/Board/Underwriters in order to provide accurate management information
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve customer focus
• Participate to various projects covering pricing, reserving, capital management and business planning

Your profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Actuarial, economic, statistical or scientific background

• Good command of English as well as French and/or Dutch
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, take initiatives
• Ability to understand, use and improve models
• Appetite for programming and innovation
• Willing to collaborate and share knowledge

• Curiosity and sense of initiative
