Internship opportunities from Q1 2023 in Quant Research
EDHEC is offering internship opportunities within the research team of its newest FinTech venture, Scientific Portfolio, based in Paris (4 Septembre campus). The internship would start in January 2023 at the earliest and March 2023 at the latest and last 6 months; it could lead to a permanent position.
Scientific Portfolio is an early-stage project which will offer interns the opportunity to learn from and contribute to a novel portfolio analysis and construction platform: EDHEC ambitions for Scientific Portfolio to become a global reference for institutional investors to manage their financial and ESG risks.
Following in the footsteps of prior successes such as Edhec Risk Institute, Scientific Beta or Scientific Infra, this new project will perpetuate the tradition of transferring academic know-how to the industry.
The internships will have the following objectives:
Participate in the research effort linked to either or both the financial risk dimension of the platform or its ESG & Climate risk dimensions, under the supervision of the team’s senior researchers.
Contribute to the production of research contents including case studies, working papers, and whitepapers with the aim to provide methodological transparency and to highlight research results to be published via the platform’s Knowledge & Education Centre.
Contribute to the construction of the platform’s portfolio analysis and allocation tools including the definition of the user logic, the technical specifications, the technical documentation, and the design of the visual interface.
The ideal candidate:
Has at least an M2 level
Has a genuine interest in understanding quantitative models, portfolio analysis and portfolio construction
Is proficient in python and relevant scientific and data engineering frameworks
Has a working knowledge of statistics and quantitative modelling.
Can demonstrate strong written and verbal English communication skills.
EU work permit is mandatory.
