Head of Research (Macro research/ Economist background required)

Responsibilities:

• Closely follow macroeconomic, policy, and political trends across the region
• Produce original economic research on topics of interest to markets
• Develop quantitative models to analyze and forecast regional trends relating to growth, inflation, FX, rates, credits etc
• Present the team’s economic views to internal and external clients
• Lead the newly founded research department

Requirements:

• Master or PhD in Economics
• Around 10-15 years of work experience in sellside or buyside as Economist or Strategist
• Have good knowledge on China macro economy, fixed income market, and able to come up with market views and strategies
• Experience producing original and thought-provoking economic research
• Excellent writing skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
