Global Research offers fundamental, cross-asset, technical and quantitative analysis presented through multiple platforms and formats.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as a Senior Economist, Northeast Asia.

• The role of the senior Northeast Asia economist is to provide market-leading economic research for Korea, Japan, and Taiwan.
• In particular, this involves the development of comprehensive forecasting models, based on solid statistical and analytical techniques.
• The senior economist will also maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and collaborate with other senior members of the Global Research team in Asia and beyond.

Requirements

• Thought leadership is essential, with firm views on macroeconomic and financial market developments for all economies involved.
• Apart from excellent oral and written communication skills in English, the candidate will also be fluent in Korean and/or Japanese.
• An advanced degree in economics or related field, as well as several years of related work experience are desirable.
