Our client is an established Banking Group with a strong and expansive market foothold in Asia. Their Product Control Function boasts a unique set-up compared to their competitors where they cover back to front controls for various product asset class. This particular role requires a highly analytical and quantitative individual to join as VP in this niche team.

Covering Fundamental Credit, you will act as an Analyst verifying trader's valuation across different distressed asset classes where you will put in place and assess various quantitative and pricing models in support of front office and execution. You will act as a Subject-Matter-Expert in valuation methodologies and reporting, with excellent ability to adapt to changing demands of the Bank and markets it covers. You will have an excellent communication skills to manage different stakeholders in front to back office functions, and have the confidence to make recommendations and suggest adjustments to the desk. This is not your typical Product Control role and will require a unique individual to be successful in this position.

To qualify, individuals must possess:

Bachelor's degree in mathematics, financial engineering, quantitative science or relevant disciplines, with CPA and / or CFA qualification
10 - 13 years' relevant experience ideally in Credit Research, Credit Risk or Credit Analysis within sizeable investment banking or securities brokerage firm
Expertise in Financial Modelling, Accounting Concepts and Valuation Construction
Highly proficient communication skills in English with strong stakeholder management skills
Project Management skills with continuous improvement type of mind-set
Expert modelling skills with previous front office experience highly desirable
