Senior Manager, Lean Six Sigma Expert

We are currently looking for a Lean Six Sigma expert to be working within the Technology Service Strategy and Process Transformation team Expectation from the role is to Lead all Business Efficiency initiatives and projects, drive cost reduction, value creation projects, identify new cost reduction opportunities year on year, facilitate process transformation through Lean Six Sigma, accelerate process excellence and execution across the Technology Services business in the Bank using a simple, fact based standardised approach.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Excellence Initiatives

· Working with Technology Services stakeholders to identify and execute opportunities for process re-engineering, Lean IT/LSS improvement projects balancing costs and benefits of the proposed exercises

· Planning and co-ordinating workshops to identify and design process changes and the relating improvement programme

· Engaging relevant stakeholders to drive the implementation of process improvement in timely and quality manner

· Tracking and monitoring the process improvement programme and measure the costs/benefits of each programme

· Reporting the plan and results of the programme to stakeholders

2. Process Management

· Provide process advice/ input for process initiatives when required

· Coordinate for simplification and standardization programmes in Technology Services

3. Best Practices

· Identify best practices within the Business/regions/Industry, facilitate migration and implementation of these best practices

Technical Competencies
  • · Working knowledge of Lean/ Six Sigma/ Process Improvement Methodologies
  • · Cross functional units and Technology operations experience
  • · Advanced Excel/Statistical Analysis
  • · Understanding of Project delivery methodologies - Agile, SDLC
  • · Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills covering both senior and operational levels

  • · University degree and excellent academic record required; MBA/MSc or other advanced degree preferred
  • · 12+ years of consulting experience in LEAN IT, Program Management, Agile, ITIL & COBIT 5.0 methodology & frameworks
  • · LEAN Six Sigma Master Black Belt/Black Belt certified
  • · Highly developed strategic and collaborative leadership skills
  • · Passionate about innovation, leadership development and entrepreneurship, with a strong empirical, disciplined approach to business problem solving
  • · Led at least one large scale Lean Transformation across functions at the enterprise level (ideally with financial & insurance institutions or digital environments)
  • · Strong influencing, coaching and communication skills across all levels of an organization, plus a passion for seeing others succeed.
  • · Required experience with Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Root Cause Analysis techniques, utilized in a Rapid Improvement Event/Kaizen manner or as a longer-duration project
  • · Experience chartering projects, working with Senior Leadership/Champion/Sponsor to define scope and deliverables, and lead teams using DMAIC, DMADV, and other approaches is required
  • · Experience using Statistical Software such as Minitab for Quantitative Analysis
