This is an exciting opportunity for a high-energy "do-it-all" individual to join as a Technical Lead as part of the Development team within the Client Money Solutions Delivery Department. We are global team spread across Raleigh, London and Pune. This role is intended to provide technical leadership and oversight across the various projects impacting our applications. This role also involves collaborating with the L1 / L2 support organization to maintain production stability during EMEA hours.

To be a trusted partner to the Client Money Operations team to support on-going compliance with CASS Safeguarding policy as it evolves to remain consistent with changes in the regulatory environment for UK and European Entities.

To understand and challenge our business partners while helping to drive strategy, in order to deliver efficient, innovative, technology solutions which helps to fulfil their needs.

You will be responsible for delivery of the application components in the Client Asset protection domain within GOSD. You will be expected to:
  • Be proficient in Technical stack/tools such as Java, J2EE, JMS or MQ Series, Control-M, Weblogic, JDBC, Spring Boot, Oracle DBMS, RESTful or SOAP/WebServices, XML, JSON, SOAP, JavaScript, Junit; JIRA, Maven, SharePoint.
  • Understand and handle environment configurations for AD & QA teams.
  • Ability to dive into existing application code base to resolve functionality.
  • Ability to use and adopt wide variety of open source technologies & tools, including DevOps practices.
  • Effectively communicate with project managers, business analysts and users, negotiate and lead technical meetings as well as influence outcomes.
  • Will have the opportunity to participate in establishing, planning and monitoring IT project delivery benchmarks and prioritize work for offshore development team.
  • Deep understanding of agile practices and exposure to working in agile teams.
  • Utilize the latest tools to execute all steps of SDLC and generate progress and project metrics reports, if required.
  • Lead or contribute to working groups focusing on various business requirements.
  • Understand clients or project requirements at team and sub-department level.
  • Accountable for providing effective estimates (HLE) for IT solutions for relevant applications.
  • Act as a SME in the respective domain and application landscape.
  • Address problems of higher complexity, often spanning across multiple components or systems.
  • Collaborate with globally diverse developers (CS, contractor and external vendors) including leadership of offshore and outsourced development teams regardless of time zones.
  • Required to work in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Work embedded with well-established vendor team and ensure that key Domain Expertise is retained in CS.
  • Clearly communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical partners across multiple regions.
  • Ensure high-quality component-level design and implementation of strategic components through the entire software development process using multiple delivery models.
  • Drive standard methodologies by planning and conducting code reviews, and incorporate lessons into work practices at the application and sub-department levels.
  • Plan and conduct successful unit, performance, system, integration and acceptance testing, ensuring applications are able to meet stringent functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Help provide a stable and robust production environment and work closely with the Production Support function.
  • Build and drive effective relationships with key partners across multiple business areas & delivery groups.
  • Demonstrate strong communications & partner management skills.

You Offer
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or with equivalent experience.
  • You have extensive expertise in distributed technologies such as JAVA, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, WebLogic, WebSphere, SOAP-WSDL, JNDI, JDBC XML, Struts or AngularJS, Spring, Hibernate, JMS, JavaScript and other related Web technologies.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux.
  • Experience in SQL* Plus, PL/SQL and stored procedures with various databases; Exceptional coding skills.
  • Knowledge and experience building applications using Core Java, Angular JS, REST API, Junit, MAVEN etc.
  • You have experience in methodologies like Agile/Scrum, Test Driven Development (Junit, Mockito) and real passion for automating Integration Testing.
  • Good Know0ledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing toolsets such as Jira/Confluence/Stash/Jenkins or TeamCity.
  • You have hands on development experience and an ability to deliver high quality programs with a validated focus on delivery. You should have "Can do" and "hands-on" attitude.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, leadership, written and verbal communication skills with Strong incident diagnosing skills/Incident management.
  • Experience in Microservices and any Cloud technology will be an added advantage.
