We are looking for an experienced M&A banker/advisor from a leading bank or boutique who is looking to transition to an in-house M&A and corporate development/strategy role.
The business is very well capitalised and has a transformational plan for the next few years ahead - especially in terms of digital strategy and becoming increasingly tech-enabled. They have a history of acquiring multiple business every year both domestically and overseas and they are continually pursuing organic growth initiatives too.
We would ideally like someone with more than simply an M&A/IB skill set given the breadth of the role. If individuals have worked in strategy consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, etc) then this would be a plus. If you have worked in Private Equity then this would also be of interest.
Our client has a handful of core business areas which they are looking to create more value through. This could include bolt-on acquisitions, disposing of non-core assets and other strategic growth initiatives. The person hired will play a key role in advising the CEO, CFO and board on which paths will create the most shareholder value over the long term.
We are looking for people with experience from a range of sectors. If sector specialists are interested then likely those coming from Industrials, Technology or Business/Support Services backgrounds are the most relevant. Having a technology oriented mindset will also be advantageous. In investment banking M&A terms you will likely be a Senior Associate or VP at the moment. Anyone above or below these levels will not be suitable.
If of interest and you feel you meet the requirements, please send a CV and brief covering email ASAP to nick.goff@linearpartners.com.
