Hays is currently partnering with a growing ASX-listed organisation to recruit an experienced Accounts & Payroll Officer. This is a varied role offering a mix of finance, payroll and office management responsibilities within a supportive and collaborative team environment. This position would suit someone who enjoys working across multiple functions, takes ownership of their workload and thrives in a fast-paced business experiencing continued growth.
Your new role
- End-to-end Accounts Payable processing using Xero, including invoice receipt, approvals, data entry and payment processing
- Process and administer payroll, including calculation, payment and employee payroll queries
- Prepare and lodge ATO returns as required
- Assist with Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation and reporting
- Manage day-to-day banking requirements
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Process domestic and international supplier payments
- Liaise with external auditors and provide supporting documentation as required
- Provide general administrative support across the business
- Previous experience in accounts payable and payroll processing or bookkeeping
- Strong working knowledge of Xero or MYOB
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
