Senior Technical Project Manager - Data Protection Platform

An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Technology Project Manager to join a major data centre transformation program delivering critical technology platforms that will underpin the future-state infrastructure of a large enterprise environment.
This is a highly technical delivery role focused on the implementation of a modern enterprise data protection platform and the coordination of complex migration activities across a large application estate.

The Opportunity
You will be responsible for leading the delivery of a new enterprise data protection platform that will support application migration into a new data centre environment while enhancing organisational cyber resilience, backup, recovery and data protection capabilities.
Joining an established program already in the delivery phase, you will work closely with architects, infrastructure teams, vendors and other platform leads to drive platform implementation, testing, migration planning and transition into operational support.
This role is less focused on traditional project governance and reporting and more focused on technical delivery leadership, stakeholder coordination and the management of critical dependencies across multiple technology workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of a new enterprise data protection platform through build, configuration, testing and operational handover.
• Coordinate migration planning activities for a large application and workload estate.
• Manage complex interdependencies across networking, infrastructure and data protection workstreams.
• Work closely with internal technical teams, vendors, architects and program stakeholders to ensure delivery milestones are achieved.
• Oversee platform readiness, testing and transition into BAU operations.
• Coordinate migration sequencing and application movement into the new data centre environment.
• Drive alignment across multiple technology teams operating within a shared resource model.
• Support cyber resilience, backup, recovery and data protection objectives across the broader transformation program.

About You
You are a technically strong Project Manager who understands infrastructure delivery and can confidently engage with architects, engineers, platform specialists and vendors.
You will bring experience delivering projects involving one or more of the following:

• Enterprise backup and recovery platforms
• Data protection and cyber resilience solutions
• Data centre migration programs
• Disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives
• Large-scale infrastructure transformation projects

Essential Experience

• Proven experience delivering complex technology or infrastructure projects within large enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of backup, recovery, cyber resilience and data protection concepts.
• Experience planning and coordinating migration activities across large application estates.
• Demonstrated ability to manage delivery dependencies across multiple technical workstreams.
• Experience working with vendors, architects and specialist delivery teams.
• Ability to operate effectively in technically complex environments with shared resources and competing priorities.
