DO Recruitment Advisors is delighted to assist our client, a multinational company, in the recruitment of an Accounts Payable Accountant for its Luxembourg office.
This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to join the corporate office of a well-known US company.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing high volumes of invoices and ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.
In this role, you will:
• Process high volumes of invoices accurately and in line with company policies
• Manage supplier accounts, including resolving queries and maintaining strong relationships
• Support the month-end close process, including preparing and posting accruals
• Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on discrepancies
• Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate and compliant with internal controls
• Collaborate closely with the wider finance team to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate records within the AP system and ensure timely updates
• Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders and external vendors
• 1–2 years of Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment
• A strong understanding of accounting fundamentals including: Double-entry bookkeeping, Chart of accounts & Accruals.
• Basic tax concepts including the meaning and accounting treatment of VAT
• The ability to read, understand and validate supplier invoices including identifying key information, verifying accuracy and understanding the financial impact of invoice errors
• Experience with month-end accruals
• Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
• The ability to adapt quickly and process large volumes of documentation accurately and consistently
• Experience using major finance systems, with Oracle considered a strong advantage
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• A strong team-player mentality and collaborative mindset
• A customer-focused approach when dealing with internal and external stakeholders
• Intermediate-level English, both written and spoken
• A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn
