A credit opportunity fund based in the West-End of London and focused on European commercial real estate (CRE) is looking to fill a mid-level position. Responsibilities will include managing all aspects of the investment assessment, execution and ongoing monitoring process.
Main Duties & Responsibilities - Assist the investment team in all ‘Deal’ related activity, including:
- asset valuation
- investment underwriting
- deal structuring
- commercial due-diligence
- documentation review and negotiation
- managing closing processes
- ongoing asset management / reporting
- training and managing junior staff
Skills, qualifications and experience needed for the role
- extensive experience in commercial real estate debt at a major financial institution or fund
- undergraduate or master degree in Business, Finance or Economics or in another relevant field
- significant commercial real estate debt transaction experience across major European jurisdictions
- experience in valuation, underwriting and analyzing major commercial real estate asset classes
- experience working with internal credit/investment committees over the life of a deal including post-closing asset management
- comprehensive knowledge of commercial real estate debt and structured finance
- experience underwriting, purchasing and managing non-performing loans and loan portfolios
- experience training and managing junior staff
- exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel
- the ability to model complex assets structured with multi-tiered capital structures
- the ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
