Job Summary:

As a Software Engineer III in the Corporate Technology team supporting CIO, Treasury & Corporate Risk Management, you will design and deliver trusted technology products that power our business. You'll work with Databricks and cloud-based tools to build and optimize data pipelines, collaborating with Data Science and SRE/Platform teams. You will contribute to a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and secure engineering practices. Your work will help drive the success of our strategic data platform and support critical business decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to solve complex problems.
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that integrate with enterprise systems.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using Databricks ETL tools.
• Develop and productionize cloud-based ML pipelines, collaborating with Data Science and SRE/Platform teams for deployment and operationalization.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring alignment with design constraints.
• Gather, analyze, and visualize data from large, diverse data sets to drive continuous improvement.
• Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
• Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Hands-on Databricks experience across Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows, Repos/notebooks, and SQL Warehouses, including cluster configuration and optimization.
• Proficiency in Python and strong grounding in secure data practices.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages (including React for UI development).
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
• Familiarity with data modeling and query optimization.
• Exposure to cloud technologies.
