Senior Finance Consultant
Role
As Senior Consultant for the Finance practice, you will be working on projects related to the reengineering of financial management systems and processes. This can include reviewing and improving financial processes (accounting, budgeting, reporting, cost allocation, invoicing) as well as optimising the interactions between the finance department and the financial systems (e.g. SAP, BI). Furthermore, you will act as an advisor and project manager for the finance departments (implementation of transversal processes, project follow-up, resources management, KPI's, etc). Concretely, your responsibilities may include:
- Interact with / listen to the client in order to accurately capture his ideas, expectations and concerns, by asking questions to clarify priorities and potential issues
- Perform as-is assessments, and drive the development of to-be solutions and gap analyses
- Organise and lead workshops/meetings to capture core information
- Assist and contribute in identifying strategic and operational issues and propose concrete solutions
- Shape target operating models, business processes and assess their organisational impacts
- Co-ordinate team discussions to help deliver sustainable solutions for the client
- Contribute to the creation of the main deliverables of projects
- Follow-up actions with all projects' stakeholders, and timely report on their status
- Demonstrate expertise, professionalism and vision
- Participate to the practice's business development by identifying new opportunities
- Develop internal capabilities and mentor young potentials

Qualifications
- Master degree in (Applied) Economic Sciences, Business Engineering or any other master completed by a degree in Management Sciences
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Finance (in the consulting business, or internally with significant project management responsibilities)
- Experience in financial controlling, financial planning and analysis, budgeting and cost management, finance advisory or finance process improvement in any industry
- Experience in SAP (ECC, BPC, S/4 Hana, etc.), reporting tools (e.g. Cognos Analytics, Business Objects) as user or business analyst
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in Dutch/French and English
- Strong analytical skills
