Join a Data Analytics team responsible for building enterprise reporting solutions that drive operational, financial, and executive decision-making. This role focuses on dashboard development, semantic modeling, DAX, paginated reporting, and SQL-based analytics. You'll partner with business stakeholders, manage projects through delivery, and work within an Azure/Databricks environment leveraging Azure DevOps, Git, and Tabular Editor to deliver scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Power BI Reporting & Analytics
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Create and support paginated reports for operational, financial, executive, and standardized reporting needs.
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and convert them into actionable reporting solutions.
- Ensure reports are optimized for performance, usability, and scalability.
- Maintain reporting standards related to governance, design consistency, and data accuracy.
- Support ongoing enhancements and troubleshooting for existing reporting assets.
Data Modeling & Semantic Layer Development
- Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models using dimensional modeling and star schema best practices.
- Create, optimize, and document DAX measures, calculations, and KPIs.
- Build and manage data relationships, calculated tables, calculated columns, and row-level security.
- Ensure consistency of metrics and business logic across reporting environments.
- Evaluate and improve model performance to support growing business needs.
Data Platform & Technical Development
- Work with curated datasets sourced from Azure-based data platforms and Databricks environments.
- Utilize SQL to analyze data, validate results, and support reporting development.
- Partner with Data Engineering and IT teams to ensure reporting solutions align with enterprise data architecture.
- Assist with data validation, testing, and quality assurance efforts to maintain trusted reporting outputs.
Development Standards & Deployment
- Leverage Tabular Editor to manage semantic models, metadata, calculations, and advanced modeling features.
- Follow Git-based source control practices, including branching strategies, code reviews, and pull requests.
- Use Azure DevOps to manage user stories, tasks, sprint work, and deployment coordination.
- Participate in release management, testing, and change control processes to support stable production deployments.
- Contribute to documentation, governance, and reporting best practices.
Project Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement
- Manage reporting and analytics initiatives from requirements gathering through deployment and business approval.
- Develop project schedules, track milestones, and coordinate dependencies across teams.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, requirement reviews, testing sessions, and sign-off processes.
- Act as a primary point of contact throughout project execution, ensuring effective communication and timely delivery.
- Balance multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
Experience
- 1-3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, Reporting, or BI Development roles.
- Advanced expertise with Microsoft Power BI, including:
- Dashboard and report development
- Semantic modeling
- DAX development and optimization
- Paginated reporting
- Performance tuning
- Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling and star schema design.
- Experience utilizing Tabular Editor for semantic model management.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with enterprise data warehouses.
- Familiarity with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience using Azure DevOps for project management and deployment tracking.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Databricks and Azure cloud-based data platforms.
- Exposure to analytics engineering and modern data architecture concepts.
- Experience supporting finance, accounting, operational, or executive reporting functions.
- Understanding of BI governance and change management processes.
- Familiarity with ticketing and workflow management platforms such as Freshworks or similar tools.
- Industry experience within real estate, property management, or related sectors is a plus.
