Job Description
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) team is responsible for securing employee access to our core applications in the most efficient, compliant and user-friendly manner, innovatively using the latest industry standards and tools. Our goal is to become the gold standard for IAM worldwide.
Visa's IAM eco-system includes an extensive, and highly customized, rich Identity Management platform implementation. The team has successfully implemented many of the core components. However, we have many features yet to be designed and integrated to achieve an acceptable level of coverage.
With the additional features and the goal of extensive coverage comes a higher level of complexity, criticality, overall usage, and dependency on the environment.
We are seeking an Associate Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Global team of IAM experts to assist in development, operations, and support of the IAM environment as well as interfacing with stakeholders at a highly technical level.
The successful candidate will have a fundamental understanding of networking and security concepts as well as hands-on in-depth experience with a programming/scripting language. In addition, the candidate should possess the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, and the willingness to take on challenges.
All Visa roles require digital fluency , including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. - Perform maintenance and implementation of various enterprise Identity Management components related to IAM Suite and SailPoint
- Perform analysis of IAM related incidents, including
- Data analysis
- Documentation of the root cause
- Recommendations for remediation
- Write and optimize SQL queries and develop reports using GenAI
- Assist with code deployments using GenAI for building alerting and monitoring solutions for IDM platform.
- Work closely with Management, Development team, and the Quality Assurance team to communicate issues and propose solutions

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Cybersecurity, Business or a related field, graduating May 2026 - August 2027.
- Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications that demonstrate professional judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Programming skills in basic scripting - PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation and reporting.
- Experience or knowledge in PL/SQL queries
- Awareness with IAM tools like SailPoint
- Operating system familiarity - Windows, Linux, macOS account management.
- Ability to use GenAI to build agents for alerting and reporting
- Incident handling basics - responding to access-related tickets.
- Basic troubleshooting - resolving login errors, permissions issues.
- Ability to collaborate
- Highly driven, resourceful and results oriented
- Good team player and excellent interpersonal skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and navigate through ambiguity
