An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll & Aurion Specialist to join a large, well-established organisation with a complex workforce and strong focus on compliance, governance and employee experience. This role will suit a payroll professional who combines strong end-to-end payroll expertise with advanced Aurion systems knowledge and enjoys improving processes, troubleshooting issues and ensuring payroll accuracy.
Your new role
Reporting into the HR leadership team, you will take ownership of payroll operations while acting as the key Aurion subject matter expert across the organisation.
- End-to-end payroll processing across a large and diverse workforce
- Management of employee lifecycle transactions including commencements, variations and terminations
- Maintaining payroll compliance with relevant legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, taxation and superannuation requirements
- Payroll reconciliations, reporting and audit preparation
- Aurion system administration, configuration and user support
- Investigation and resolution of payroll and system-related issues
- Data integrity maintenance and system controls
- Testing, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
- Stakeholder support and training across payroll and HR functions
- Extensive end-to-end Australian payroll experience
- Essential hands-on experience with Aurion
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, superannuation and taxation requirements
- Experience interpreting awards, EBAs and employment conditions
- Advanced payroll reconciliation and reporting skills
- Strong problem-solving and systems troubleshooting capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to payroll accuracy
