Your new role
Reporting into the finance leadership team, you will be responsible for managing key financial accounting activities, supporting month-end reporting and contributing to continuous improvement across finance processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing balance sheet reconciliations, profit and loss variance analysis and month-end commentary
Maintaining the fixed asset register and processing manual journals, including monthly accruals
Preparing income tax requirements, including FBT, BAS and annual tax return information
Supporting the annual audit and financial statements process
Investigating and documenting key accounting estimates and judgement areas in line with accounting standards
Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and controls as the organisation continues to grow
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be a CA or CPA qualified accountant with strong technical accounting capability and a genuine interest in process improvement. You will bring an inquisitive nature, a proactive approach to your work and a genuine interest in improving processes and systems to benefit both the team and the business. A mix of commercial and business services experience would be ideal, as the Financial Controller would like this person to take on tax compliance activities.
