What You'll Do:

You'll be the technical accounting expert within the finance team, owning statutory reporting, tax and compliance across Australia and several international entities.

This is a role with genuine ownership and variety. Alongside managing the compliance calendar, you'll partner with external advisors, support strategic projects and play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing statutory financial statements and managing the year-end audit process.
• Owning the tax and compliance calendar, including BAS, IAS, FBT, payroll tax and income tax obligations.
• Managing international compliance across working with external advisors.
• Overseeing corporate governance, statutory reporting and entity compliance.
• Supporting tax planning, transfer pricing and technical accounting matters.
• Contributing to group restructuring, governance improvements and future M&A activity.
• Strengthening internal controls and identifying opportunities to improve finance processes.

Who You Are:

This role will suit either a confident first mover from Audit, Tax or Business Services, or a technically strong accountant already working in a commercial environment who's looking for broader ownership and exposure.

You'll be fully qualified (CA or CPA), enjoy technical accounting and take pride in getting the detail right. Interpreting legislation, understanding governance requirements and ensuring compliance comes naturally to you.

Just as importantly, you'll be an exceptional communicator. You'll work closely with senior leaders, external advisors and international stakeholders, so the ability to build relationships, explain technical matters clearly and influence others is every bit as important as your technical capability.

You'll also bring:

• CA or CPA qualification.
• A strong technical foundation in Audit, Tax, Business Services or Financial Accounting.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership from day one.
