Our client operates in the fire protection and essential safety services sector, delivering services that support the safety, compliance, and ongoing maintenance of buildings and infrastructure. Their work spans service delivery, testing, inspection, reporting, and compliance, supporting customers across South East Queensland. As a Service Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the service department's day-to-day operations. This position is central to ensuring smooth coordination between customers, technicians, and internal teams, ultimately improving technician productivity and enhancing the customer experience.
Your responsibilities will include handling incoming calls and emails, logging service requests and minor work, maintaining accurate records, and supporting invoicing and procurement processes. You'll work closely with field staff on time sheets, compliance documentation, and reporting, while also assisting with purchase orders, accounts payable support, and general administration duties.
A strong focus on customer service, attention to detail, and effective time management will be critical to success in this role.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous administration or customer service experience, ideally within a fast-paced service environment
- The ability to multitask, prioritise deadlines, and perform well under pressure
- Exposure to invoicing or billing processes
- High computer literacy, including strong skills in Microsoft Office
- A professional and courteous communication style, both written and verbal
- A strong customer-focused mindset
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team while also operating autonomously
- Experience in a related industry (e.g. fire or essential services) is advantageous but not essential
