Your new roleAs an ICT System Administrator (Infrastructure), you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving the organisation's ICT infrastructure across server, network, and backup environments.Key responsibilities include:
- Administering and maintaining Windows Server, Linux, and VMware environments.
- Monitoring system performance and implementing improvements to optimise reliability and availability.
- Managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, SCCM, Intune, and Autopilot environments.
- Supporting network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
- Implementing and maintaining backup and recovery solutions using technologies such as Veeam, Commvault, or SkyKick.
- Developing and testing disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Performing system upgrades, patching, auditing, and security hardening activities.
- Supporting incident, problem, and change management processes in line with ITIL principles.
- Contributing to infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives while providing technical advice to stakeholders.
- Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.
- Demonstrated experience in systems administration within medium to large enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise across Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and Microsoft infrastructure technologies.
- Experience administering Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, SCCM, Intune, and Autopilot.
- Solid understanding of network infrastructure, security principles, firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
- Experience with enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, or SkyKick.
- Knowledge of ITIL service management frameworks and best practices.
- Scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Python (highly desirable).
- Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience.
