Infrastructure Architect (Banking)

Position Summary:
The Infrastructure Architect (Banking) joins a financial institution to lead the evaluation and development of infrastructure solutions. The role supports the definition of architecture standards, policies, and strategies to align with the organisation’s goals and future growth.

Role Overview:
The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for participating in product, service, and vendor evaluation. The role advises on emerging infrastructure technologies, develops platform strategies and roadmaps, and supports the Infrastructure teams in defining standards based on industry best practices. Conducting architecture reviews and supporting the analysis and validation of infrastructure solutions to ensure security, resilience, and optimal performance are key aspects. The successful candidate collaborates across teams to provide technical guidance and ensures compliance with regulatory and risk management standards. This position reports to relevant senior management and works closely with multiple teams to deliver scalable and high-performance infrastructure.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Evaluate hardware, software, and cloud infrastructure technologies to improve operations


• Develop infrastructure technology platform strategies, directions, and roadmaps


• Conduct architecture reviews, approval, and root cause analysis for complex issues


• Support infrastructure teams in analysing, recommending, and solving platform technology issues


• Review and validate complex or non-standard infrastructure solutions proposed by project teams


• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, rules, and standards


• Demonstrate broad knowledge of infrastructure technologies including cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google, Alibaba Cloud), servers, network, database, middleware, and virtualization

Nice to Have:

• CISSP or CISA certification

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in evaluation of products, services, and vendors


• Ensure hardware, software, and cloud technologies are optimally evaluated to enhance operations


• Advise on emerging application/infrastructure technologies


• Develop and maintain infrastructure strategies, directions, and roadmaps


• Support teams in defining architecture standards aligned with industry standards and best practices


• Conduct architecture reviews, root cause analyses, and develop security, governance, resilience, and disaster recovery strategies


• Review complex infrastructure solutions proposed by project teams


• Analyse, recommend, and support platform technology issues


• Carry out infrastructure tasks in accordance with the IT support strategy for overseas branches


• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, rules, and standards


• Adhere to risk control guidelines and monitor associated risks

Requirements:

• University graduate in Computer Science or equivalent


• Preferably over 8 years’ experience in IT system architecture and infrastructure technologies


• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google, Alibaba Cloud) and virtualization


• Excellent collaboration, analytical, and technical skills


• Fluent in English and Chinese; Putonghua is preferable


• Certification holder of CISSP or CISA will be an advantage

This position is considered under an Asia Contract, based on-site, with an initial duration of 12 months.
