As a Director, Product Developer within Equities in Hong Kong, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and strategic design of our Equities' Risk Management Architecture. This is a critical front-office, revenue-generating opportunity for a recognized subject matter expert to contribute significantly by designing, building, and scaling the platforms that drive our Equities division. You will leverage your advanced judgment and analytical prowess to solve complex problems, develop innovative solutions, and influence the strategic direction of our Equities business by enhancing how we represent and manage risk across all trading products. This role demands agility, tenacity, a will-to-win, and a collaborative spirit to thrive in a dynamic and complex environment, often working directly with trading desks and quantitative researchers.

Primary Responsibilities of the Role

• 
  Lead the end-to-end development and strategic design of the Equities' Risk Management Architecture, acting as a subject matter expert.
  
• 
  Manage the full product development lifecycle, including rigorous business case development and detailed requirements definition (BRDs).
  
• 
  Define, manage, and optimize product development processes, scope product releases, and track key business priorities and investment returns.
  
• 
  Formulate a compelling product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives and prevailing market trends.
  
• 
  Partner intensively with senior business leaders, technology teams, sales, and a distributed global user community to conceptualize and implement cutting-edge solutions.
  
• 
  Ensure the robustness of controls and governance frameworks, including Need-to-Know based security reviews, access approvals, and comprehensive controls testing and documentation.
  

What We Need from You

• 
  Extensive and detailed experience (typically 8+ years) in Derivatives Trading, algorithmic trading, and advanced platform development within a major investment bank or hedge fund.
  
• 
  Proven proficiency in programming languages such as Python (for quantitative analysis and rapid prototyping), C++, or Java (for low-latency systems), alongside strong SQL skills.
  
• 
  Exceptional intellectual curiosity, advanced analytical skills, and proven capability in financial modeling and interpreting complex market data for risk management.
  
• 
  Demonstrated ability to establish and cultivate senior client relationships across multiple facets of Citi businesses, acting as a key translator between technical and commercial stakeholders.
  
• 
  Strong project management leadership with a proven track record of driving large, cross-functional initiatives and adhering to Agile methodologies.
  
• 
  A proven change agent, adept at encouraging innovation, adapting to diverse situations, and possessing a deep understanding of market microstructure and regulatory frameworks.
