It covers functions across IED covering sales, trading, analytics, strats and risk management.

Primary Responsibilities

The Quantitative Investment Strategies business at Morgan Stanley sits within the Institutional Securities Group with a cross-asset mandate and is a global multi-function team consisting of dedicated Research, Structuring, Strats, and Trading. The mandate of the group is to design quantitative systematic strategies that can be offered to the firm's clients to access in a variety of formats.

Responsibilities for this role involve:

• Equity and multi-asset strategy development, using programming and applied mathematics.
• Development of tools and processes to improve the management of strategies
• Bespoke strategy analysis for clients
• Helping the team to answer technical queries about the strategy
• Overseeing Index rebalance processes for client directed strategies

Essential skills

• Degree with a quantitative discipline (BE, BTech, MS in Maths/Statistics/Financial Engineering) from Tier 1 or 2 institutes
• Computer Skills: strong object oriented programming skills in Java, Python, or C++ including knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design
• Knowledge of applied mathematics and statistics
• Interest in learning financial products and markets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for a front office environment
• Strong attention to detail, and a willingness to take ownership of projects
• Ability to work with and support the team

• Option Greeks and their behavior over time
• Derivative products like Options, Futures, Swaps etc.
• General behavior of the Equity Derivatives markets - Flow and Structured Products
