Position Overview: We are seeking a hands-on Senior Data Analyst to join our asset management team. This role requires a dynamic professional with at least 5 years of experience who can serve as the data subject matter expert (SME) within a cross-functional Scrum team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving complex data analysis projects, supporting data mapping, validation and analytics.

Job Description
Position Overview: We are seeking a hands-on Senior Data Analyst to join our asset management team. This role requires a dynamic professional with at least 5 years of experience who can serve as the data subject matter expert (SME) within a cross-functional Scrum team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving complex data analysis projects, supporting data mapping, validation and analytics.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead data analysis and reporting initiatives to deliver actionable insights for asset management operations.
- Drive with sourcing on new datasets, functional design & mapping, data modeling to support consumption needs, data validation and quality management
- Demonstrate advanced competence in database systems, including SQL and Power BI.
- Apply strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to address business challenges.
- Technical Requirements:
- Proficiency in Asset Management data including AUM & Flows, Performance & Attribution, Fees, Benchmark and Securities, Account onboarding, ESG etc.
- Proficiency in relational database concepts, querying, and data warehouse management.
- Hands-on experience with analytics tools such as Microsoft Business Intelligence Suite, QlikView, or similar.
- Ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets, translating findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Experience in requirements gathering and using decision support tools.
- Hands on SQL and Python knowledge
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in data analysis, preferably within asset management or financial services.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a Scrum/agile environment.
- Act as the primary data SME within a Scrum team, collaborating with stakeholders and facilitating discussions to reach decisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships within the team and across departments.
- Deliver high-quality work products requiring minimal revision and ensure significant financial, client, and internal business impact.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development.
- Participate in business stakeholder meetings and interact with Senior Management, presenting data-driven recommendations.
