Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business teams and product managers to define project scope and develop comprehensive execution plans.
- Lead end-to-end technical project management across requirements, development, testing, release, implementation, and post-release stabilisation.
- Facilitate discussions between engineering teams and business stakeholders on priorities, technical trade-offs, and key decisions.
- Use Jira and Confluence to manage project plans, requirements, progress, dependencies, risks, and delivery.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and performance requirements and support required approval processes.
- Collaborate with QA teams to maintain quality standards for code reviews and automated testing, while ensuring release quality and schedule adherence.
- Oversee releases, operational handovers, and post-project reviews.
- Continuously improve and standardise development and project management processes in an evolving product environment.
- 7+ years of technical project management experience delivering software products.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related technical discipline.
- Hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence for project planning and progress management.
- Sufficient technical understanding to participate in system architecture discussions, evaluate technical trade-offs, and ask relevant technical questions.
- Practical knowledge of Conversational AI, Generative AI, or LLM-powered contact centre applications.
- Extensive experience delivering projects using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Strong facilitation skills with the ability to build consensus in ambiguous situations while respecting the technical judgement of engineering teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for working with executives, business teams, engineers, and product managers.
- Strong risk management capabilities, including the ability to identify issues early and present actionable options for resolution.
- Product-oriented mindset with the confidence to challenge requirements constructively and recommend improvements or scope adjustments where appropriate.
- Ability to work effectively in environments where processes are still evolving.
- Experience independently establishing, standardising, or improving project management and development processes.
- Japanese: Business level, including negotiation, documentation, and meeting facilitation
- English: Business level, equivalent to TOEIC 800+
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or an equivalent project management certification.
- Professional experience as a software engineer or solution architect.
- Contact centre domain knowledge, including omnichannel platforms, routing, CPaaS, or agent-assistance tools.
- Deeper technical knowledge of conversational AI and LLM-based customer service solutions.
