EMEA Finance Operations Accountant
About the Role
The EMEA Finance Operations Accountant is responsible for the accounting processes and controls for our EMEA Divisional HQ functions, reporting into the EMEA Divisional Finance Manager. This includes posting journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, on time and accurate close cycle, and management reporting. The role is heavily focused on intercompany management, intercompany invoicing and intercompany reconciliations.
Responsibility for ensuring all SOX controls, processes and accounting policies are adhered to for the HQ entity. The role also works with the shared services Centre to oversee and ensure all transactions are accounted for and processed correctly, and partners with the other country finance teams on allocations and intercompany transactions

What You'll Do
- Manage the month-end close process, including intercompany confirms, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Own the accuracy of the trial balance, including complex intercompany relationships and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Partner with FP&A and Finance management to analyze variance drivers and review monthly journal postings.
- Calculate and draft intercompany billings, including regular and one-off recharges of central costs across EMEA countries.
- Manage complex accounting processes such as FX transactions, transfer pricing, revenue recognition, and affiliate reporting.
- Oversee shared services center processes to ensure accurate transaction management and accounting.
- Process confidential salary recharges and support coding of third-party and intercompany invoices.
- Communicate with global finance teams regarding allocations and intercompany transactions.
- Assist the EMEA Divisional Finance Manager with management reporting, cost owner reviews, and ad hoc projects.
- Ensure completion of all close checklists, continuous process improvement, and support for audits and controllership queries.
What You'll Need
- Qualified financial accountant with 1-2 years' experience in managing accounting ledgers, balance sheet reconciliations, and controls.
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to create sophisticated working schedules to improve work efficiency.
- Experienced in regular use of financial systems; PeopleSoft, TM1, and OneStream experience is an advantage.
- Accurate and exceptional attention to detail with a methodical approach to work.
- International or EMEA experience with the ability to communicate and influence teams across the region through strong verbal and written skills.
- Ability to analyze financial information and present it effectively to the EMEA Divisional Finance Manager and EMEA Group Reporting Manager.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task, effectively manage, and prioritize activities.
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and hold yourself accountable for the quality of the accounting.
- Inquisitive nature with the ability to challenge processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Driven, self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude (SOX experience is an advantage).
