Enterprise Data Architect | Global Private Markets Investor | London (Hybrid)



We're partnering with a global, high-performing investment organisation as they scale and modernise their enterprise data and analytics capabilities across a complex, regulated environment.



This is a senior, high-impact role focused on establishing a business-aligned data and architecture baseline: what data products matter most, how they should be governed and accessed, who owns them, and how decisions get made, all while supporting live delivery rather than running a "theoretical" architecture programme.




What You'll Do

• Establish a clear, business-anchored view of data demand and translate it into a prioritised set of valuable, well-defined data products.


• Map priority data flows and dependencies across Snowflake, operational systems, BI/integration tooling, and end-user environments (SharePoint/Excel/locally managed datasets).


• Define decision-ready ownership, stewardship, and authority models for key domains, entities, and systems of record.


• Shape a pragmatic target data-access model from BI to data layer, aligned to Microsoft Entra (group/attribute-based access, auditability, least privilege).


• Create and steer a sequenced roadmap covering data products, governance, access, and platform evolution, advising senior stakeholders and quality-assuring delivery.

What You'll Bring

• Significant senior experience in data architecture / enterprise architecture within complex organisations (financially sensitive or regulated environments strongly preferred).


• A track record of turning business outcomes and decision-making needs into actionable architecture priorities and deliverable roadmaps.


• Strong experience defining data products, domains, key business entities, systems of record, and accountable ownership models.


• Hands-on capability mapping data landscapes and flows across cloud data platforms, operational apps, BI tools, integrations, and third-party feeds.


• Practical knowledge of Snowflake (or comparable cloud data platforms), including ingestion, transformation, consumption, security, and governance considerations.


• Solid grounding in data governance: quality, lineage, privacy, retention, auditability, and pragmatic master-data approaches.


• Experience designing enterprise access models using Microsoft Entra / RBAC / group-based or attribute-driven controls.


• Confidence working with senior stakeholders: interviewing, facilitating, producing concise options papers/decision records, and driving alignment.
