Our client is looking for skilled OpenCPI Engineers to strengthen their SIGINT and RF delivery
capability within the National Security domain. You'll be working hands-on with SDR and FPGA-
based systems, delivering mission-critical solutions into secure customer environments.
Working Patterns and location - Hybrid - 4 days on site per week
Key responsibilities
Design, develop and optimise OpenCPI components and applications for SIGINT and RF
systems.
• Integrate OpenCPI solutions onto FPGA-based and embedded SDR platforms.
• Develop OpenCPI workers and containers in C/C++ and HDL (VHDL/Verilog where
required).
• Integrate DSP chains into FPGA and embedded Linux environments.
• Conduct trade-off analysis across performance, latency and resource utilisation.
• Support hardware and software integration in secure lab and customer environments.
• Work with Delivery Managers to ensure smooth transition from design to deployed
capability.
• Identify and flag technical risks, dependencies and resourcing requirements early.
Skills & experience
- Hands-on experience developing OpenCPI workers and applications for RF or SIGINT systems.
• Strong understanding of Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms and architectures.
• Experience integrating DSP chains into FPGA and embedded Linux environments.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded and signal processing development.
• Experience supporting system architecture decisions and technical trade studies.
• Ability to operate within secure National Security or MoD customer environments.
• Strong technical credibility when engaging with National Security stakeholders.
Additional benefits

Experience delivering capability across AI/DS, Cyber, Cloud or Platform Engineering
domains.
Familiarity with DevOps or SRE practices within secure delivery environments.
