Senior Project Manager
Introduction
Our client is looking forward to a substantial growth period and needs a Senior Project/Programme Manager to deliver technical projects within a National Security environment, as well as lead project/programme teams and support with business operations!
This is an opportunity to join a medium size company with really exciting projects as they grow towards a 200+ business over the next 5 years.
Working Patterns and location - Fully on site
Key responsibilities
- Be the face of the project, liaising with technical teams, clients and delivery teams.
- Lead and manage a team of project and programme professionals.
- Design and maintain a detailed project plan bridging technical and regulatory workstreams.
- Track and monitor project timelines, ensuring delivery against agreed business objectives.
- Set up and chair regular internal and external meetings, capturing minutes and agreed actions.
- Provide weekly reporting updates to internal teams and senior management.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies and implement corrective actions.
- Co-ordinate across technical, regulatory, supply chain and commercial teams to keep transitions on schedule.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with key partner companies and external stakeholders.
- Support business operations and work with the SLT to ensure targets are fulfilled.
Skills & experience
- Proven experience managing complex technical projects and programmes within a National Security environment.
- Strong leadership skills and evidence of leading successful teams.
- Strong stakeholder management across internal and external teams at local and global levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to report to senior leadership.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet tight deadlines.
- Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capability.
- Experience with business operations would be beneficial.
