Position Overview



Citadel Security USA is looking for a reliable Unarmed Security Officer to provide overnight coverage in Edwards. This position focuses on maintaining a secure and orderly setting through routine property checks, attentive observation, professional communication, and appropriate response to situations requiring assistance.



The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently during overnight hours and interacting with people who may be frustrated, upset, or difficult to communicate with. Good judgment, patience, and consistent adherence to established procedures are important in this role.




Primary Duties




Patrol & Site Awareness

• Perform scheduled exterior rounds throughout assigned areas.


• Inspect parking areas, entrances, walkways, and other designated locations.


• Maintain an active and visible security presence during the shift.


• Watch for unauthorized activity, property damage, hazards, or unusual conditions.


• Identify concerns promptly and notify the appropriate supervisor or contact.


• Follow all assigned post orders and location-specific procedures.


• Maintain awareness of changing conditions throughout the property.

Incident & Conflict Response

• Respond to disturbances, emergencies, and other security-related situations.


• Use respectful communication and verbal de-escalation when appropriate.


• Remain composed when interacting with individuals who are angry, distressed, or displaying challenging behavior.


• Request supervisory or emergency assistance when a situation exceeds the scope of the assignment.


• Follow established incident-response procedures and company policies.


• Communicate important developments promptly to designated personnel.

Reports & Shift Communication

• Complete required daily activity logs and incident reports.


• Document unusual activity, safety concerns, disturbances, and other significant observations.


• Record relevant facts and actions taken during incidents.


• Provide clear shift updates to supervisors and authorized site contacts.


• Use approved reporting procedures and systems.


• Protect confidential information encountered while performing security responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to consistently work the scheduled Friday-Sunday overnight assignment.


• Strong observation and situational-awareness abilities.


• Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful interactions.


• Clear verbal and written communication skills.


• Ability to follow detailed post orders, procedures, and instructions.


• Dependable attendance and punctuality.


• Professional appearance and conduct.


• Ability to successfully complete required company and client screening.


• Successful completion of a fingerprint-based background check.


• Must have or be willing to obtain client-required vaccinations, where applicable.


• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while performing patrol duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous professional security experience.


• Experience dealing with challenging, confrontational, or emotionally heightened situations.


• Familiarity with verbal de-escalation and conflict-management techniques.


• Experience preparing daily activity logs or incident reports.


• Previous work in a public-facing environment.


• Ability to make practical decisions while working with limited supervision.
