Events Manager

Department: Distribution

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: US - New York

Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000 / year

Description

As Events Manager at CFC, you'll play a key role in bringing our brand and products to life for broker audiences across North America.

Based in our New York office, you'll join our award-winning marketing team and take ownership of high-impact events across the US and Canada. Working closely with our global events colleagues in London, you'll create engaging experiences that strengthen broker relationships, build awareness of CFC and showcase what makes us different in the specialty insurance market.

About the role

This is an opportunity to independently lead large and mid-sized events while contributing to CFC's wider global events strategy.

You'll manage the full event lifecycle, from initial concept and goal setting through to budgeting, communications, delivery and measurement. Your work will include CFC-hosted events, partner events and major industry tradeshows across the US and Canada.

You'll have the autonomy to shape and deliver standout events while remaining closely connected to an experienced international marketing function. The role also involves occasional out-of-hours work and international travel.

About you

You're an experienced events professional who understands how to turn commercial objectives into memorable audience experiences. You'll be comfortable taking ownership, managing multiple priorities and influencing stakeholders across a global organisation.

You'll bring:
  • At least five years' experience in event management, ideally within specialty insurance, financial services or another B2B intermediary-led environment.
  • A strong track record of delivering large and mid-sized events across North America.
  • Excellent project management skills and close attention to detail.
  • Confidence managing budgets, suppliers, venues, sponsorships and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to prioritise activity based on business impact.
  • Experience working across time zones and collaborating with international teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with marketing and events platforms such as HubSpot, Google Analytics, event registration systems and content management systems.

If you're excited by the opportunity to take ownership of CFC's North American events programme and create experiences that stand out in the specialty insurance market, we'd love to hear from you.
