Your new role
Reporting to the Tax Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Review and oversee BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax and Income Tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely lodgements in line with State and Federal legislation.
- Provide tax advice and technical support to finance teams, including tax research, training, and guidance on complex tax matters.
- Drive continuous improvement of tax processes, work papers, reporting templates, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Support audits, regulatory reviews, due diligence, acquisitions, restructuring projects, and liaison with external advisors and key stakeholders.
In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with CA or CPA qualifications completed or underway.
- Proven experience within Corporate Tax or Public Practice, coupled with a sound understanding of Australian taxation and statutory compliance obligations.
- Strong analytical and investigative capabilities, with the ability to research, interpret and apply complex tax legislation while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
