Overview
We are seeking an experienced IBM Z System Administrator. This role is responsible for the administration, support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of IBM Z mainframe environment. The successful candidate will have solid hands-on experience with z/OS and CICS administration, including product installation, configuration, upgrades, and operational support. This position works closely with regional and global application teams to ensure the stability, availability, and performance of critical banking systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support IBM Z mainframe infrastructure, including z/OS and CICS environments.
• Perform installation, configuration, customization, patching, upgrades, and maintenance of mainframe products and utilities.
• Monitor system health, performance, availability, and capacity using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve system incidents, performance issues, and production problems.
• Provide operational support for business-critical systems, including participation in on-call and after-hours support rotations when required.
• Collaborate with application development teams and infrastructure teams across Hong Kong, Guangzhou, India, and other global locations.
• Support infrastructure modernization and automation initiatives, including CI/CD and operational process improvements.
• Maintain security compliance and ensure adherence to internal technology standards and controls.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support guides.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in system administration within IBM Z / Mainframe environments.
• Solid experience supporting z/OS and CICS platforms.
• Hands-on experience with product installation, configuration management, maintenance, and system upgrades.
• Good understanding of mainframe middleware and technologies such as:
  • CICS
  • z/OS
  • DB2
  • MQ
  • RACF
• Experience with system monitoring, performance analysis, and operational support.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a production support environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with regional and global stakeholders.
• Fluent English communication skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD implementation.
• Experience with z/OSMF, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub, or similar automation tools.
• REXX programming experience.
