Our client is a leading global quantitative hedge fund that is looking to hire an exceptional ML Data Scientist to join its growing Data Science team in Asia.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI and quantitative finance, developing production-grade machine learning solutions that support one of the world's most sophisticated systematic investment platforms. You'll collaborate with leading researchers and engineers while working with large-scale proprietary datasets to solve complex real-world problems.

Responsibilities:

• Research, develop and deploy innovative AI solutions that enhance the firm's data capabilities and support systematic investment processes.
• Build scalable machine learning models capable of extracting insights from large, complex and diverse datasets.
• Partner with researchers, engineers and business stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities where AI can drive meaningful improvements.
• Design robust data and model workflows that take projects from early experimentation through to production deployment.
• Explore and apply state-of-the-art techniques across areas such as LLMs, generative AI, natural language processing and representation learning.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and research, identifying opportunities to incorporate new methodologies into existing platforms.
• Measure, monitor and continually improve model performance through rigorous experimentation and data-driven optimisation.
• Contribute to the evolution of the firm's AI infrastructure, helping to build scalable, reliable and production-ready machine learning systems.

Requirements:

• PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 3+ years of industry experience in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
• Strong publication record at leading conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, or ICLR.
• Excellent Python and SQL programming skills.
• Experience building predictive models using large-scale datasets.
• Quantitative finance experience is advantageous but not required.
