Job Description
- Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the insurance brokerage portfolio.
- Identify, engage, and onboard new clients, with a strong focus on Mainland China, Japan, Taiwan, and Korea markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distribution channels, partners, and referrers to drive sustainable business pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (product, compliance, operations) to support client acquisition and onboarding.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to identify new opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, seminars, and client meetings.
- Prepare regular business reports, pipeline updates, and performance summaries for senior management.
- Minimum 5 years of business development experience within the insurance or insurance brokerage industry, with IA licensed.
- Proven track record of bringing in new business and successfully managing distribution channels.
- Strong network and relationship-building abilities with clients and partners in Mainland China, Japan, Taiwan, and Korea.
- Solid understanding of insurance products and brokerage distribution models.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English is required; Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, or other Asian languages are an advantage.
